About
Kathy Walsh, LMBT, CLT
Certified Lymphedema & Massage Therapist NC #17486
My journey with wellness began in 2010 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a double mastectomy, 16 lymph nodes removed, chemo, and radiation; I was determined to become “healthy” again. I lived in FL at the time and began to get regular preventative lymphatic massages. Unfortunately, when I moved to Charlotte I could not find a Certified Lymphatic Therapist.
I developed lymphedema in my upper back, an area I could not reach to perform self lymphatic massage. It was at that time I found Stephanie at Lymphatic Health Center in Mooresville. I became a patient and quickly developed a passion to learn more and help others in my situation. I transferred my calling into action and became a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist at the North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork. I then completed my certification in the Vodder method of treatment for Lymphedema. I graduated from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, the top school in the US for lymphedema.
Now as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) I want to create more awareness in the medical field regarding lymphedema. The need for knowledge, education, and treatment of lymphedema needs to be as recognized as equally as other diagnoses and complications of cancer, trauma, surgery, etc. My goal for clients is prevention, intervention, relaxation, and a holistic approach to overall wellbeing.

Linda Ohlandt – LMBT, CMLDT
Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist NC #18096
My interest in manual therapy developed at a young age, deeply influenced by my experiences with my brother, who was severely disabled. Observing the benefits that my brother received from home-based physical therapy, I saw how treatment improved his ability to breathe and move more easily, as well as his spirit being lifted - he smiled & laughed more. These formative experiences planted the seeds for my passion for the healing power of touch, which I would revisit later when I had a family of my own.
I became a Nationally Board-Certified Massage Therapist while living in NJ in 2002. In 2005, I was inspired to further my education by obtaining my Medical Massage License in New York. While working at an Integrative Wellness Center located within a hospital, I was exposed to a wide range of conditions, with a special emphasis on breast cancer. These experiences led me to become a Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist in 2017. I then moved and obtained my North Carolina License in 2019.
Manual Lymph Drainage Therapy is beneficial for many conditions, including
Lymphedema, inflammatory conditions, sinus & allergies, pre & post surgery, autoimmune disorders, anxiety, scar tissue reduction, sleep disorders, and digestion issues.
Ongoing research continues to explore the possible connections between Lymphatic System issues and Neurological disorders, further highlighting the importance & potential of this modality.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors - hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, riding horses and playing with my dog Jax.
